How I Lean Into Fall: My Skincare, Home Decor, and Music Tips

Whether you’re ready or not, Fall 2021 is (somehow) already here. Pumpkin spice lattes for everyone! I don’t know about you, but it feels like the summer months have come and gone within the blink of an eye. I guess it’s true what they say: time flies when you’re having fun in the sun and drinking lots of water rosé with your friends.

While I’ve had one of the best summers of my life, I’ll admit it: I love fall. I am that girl! After months of drinking too much and wearing next to nothing to survive the heatwaves, I’m so ready for cozier weather and a vibe-switch-up as soon as September/October hits.

I have no shame in the fact that I love sweaters, scarves, and pumpkin spice everything, but these are just a few ways that I, as a proud and self-proclaimed basic, lean into the new season. Since I’m feeling the Fall spirit, here are some other things that I do around this time of year to lean into autumn!

With cooler weather comes more dryness. Try updating your skincare routine to be more hydrating and don’t be afraid to experiment with Retinol in the colder months! Some of my favorite skincare products are by EVIO Beauty

Little home decor changes to reflect the season and vibe of fall, your surroundings are so important for mental health. Add some cozy throws and don’t forget to invest in some candles that put you in a relaxed, fall mood.

Less dance, more relaxation. I always like to find or make a good playlist for different moods: start with one for motivation on dark and cold days and another for chill one for self-care evenings in.

Let’s get serious though, one thing we don’t talk about enough is the shift within ourselves as the seasons’ transition. Mental health changes with the shorter days and cold weather, so make sure you are preparing yourself! Find hobbies that will keep you busy when you find yourself at home by yourself more often, such as committing to a good book or trying new recipes at home! In no time, you’ll find yourself preferring solo nights at home rather than missing the long Summer nights with friends! It’s all about balance, folks!

What are some of your favorite ways to lean into Fall? I’m always down to incorporate new things into my routine, even if it’s just another Pumpkin Spice product. Comment below!
