Eating as healthy as possible is important to me but I have an addiction to chocolate which can be a problem at times. So over the years I have taken it upon myself to learn about some key ingredients that I have added to my lifestyle. One of them being cacao powder (life saver). After a workout I’ll throw some of this deliciousness in my smoothie/shakes and my cravings disappear. I get to eat chocolate and feel guilt-free? Winning!

How to: Place 1 peeled frozen banana, 2 tablespoons peanut or almond butter, 2 tablespoons cacao powder, and 1/3 cup water into a blender. Blend until smooth. Serves 1.

Extras: Throw in protein powder, 2 tablespoons shredded, unsweetened coconut, a handful of raw almonds, pinch ground cinnamon, or 2 tablespoons rolled oats.
